Post-construction cleaning in three phases

Rough clean, final clean, touch-up. Scheduled against your punch list, staffed to your turnover date, and finished so the owner walk happens once.

Commercial building under construction with scaffolding

The standard on every contract

  • Unannounced walkthroughs

A supervisor walks your building at random, scores it against the written scope and sends you the score with photos.

  • A person answers

The office line reaches a person during office hours, and field supervisors carry phones on every shift.

  • Fixed the same night

Issues are logged when they happen and put right before the next shift, with a note to you.

  • A written scope

Every task by area and frequency, agreed before the first shift. You keep a copy and the crew carries one.

What is included

What each phase covers

The three phases follow the build. Each one leaves the site ready for the next trade, and the last one leaves it ready for the owner.

  • Rough clean: debris out, slabs swept, adhesive and mud scraped, surfaces HEPA vacuumed
  • Final clean: labels and film removed, glass inside and out including frames and tracks
  • Final clean: cabinets, fixtures, switch plates and hardware detailed
  • Final clean: hard floors machine scrubbed, new carpet vacuumed
  • Restrooms disinfected and ready for occupancy
  • Touch-up: a short return visit after the punch list, before the owner walk
  1. 01

    Rough clean

After drywall and before finishes. Debris removed, slabs swept, adhesive and joint compound scraped from floors, and every horizontal surface HEPA vacuumed, including ledges and the tops of framing. The rough clean is what keeps the final clean on schedule.

  2. 02

    Final clean

After finishes and before turnover: every surface, every fixture, both sides of every pane of glass. Stickers and protective film come off, fixtures are detailed and floors are machine scrubbed.

  3. 03

Touch-up, and working with your superintendent

Trades leave marks, so the crew returns the day before turnover for a touch-up. Throughout the project the crew takes direction from your superintendent, signs in under your site safety program and works to the dates you set.

Questions

Post-Construction Cleaning questions

Do you clean during construction as well as at the end?

Yes. Rough cleans keep the site safe and keep dust out of finished work. Some projects schedule a regular construction clean through the finish phase.

How is post-construction cleaning quoted?

After a site walk. Two projects with the same square footage can be very different jobs: glazing, finish level and access all change the work. The walk sets the scope and the crew plan.

Can you take on the ongoing cleaning after turnover?

Yes. The crew that did the final clean already knows the building, the surfaces and the access, which makes the recurring contract simple to start.
